Snow

We finally got some snow!!! Avery looked out side this morning and asked if we could go play, so when Azrielle went down for her nap, we did.

When we came in Avery got a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows. He did have a much better chocolate mustache, but he is really doing great at covering when he coughs, and wiped it away a little bit.

He has been coughing a lot, so we took him back in on Monday to see the Doctor. He got to have an X-ray of his chest, and then he got some antibiotics, he has pneumonia.

Pretty Toes

I decided to paint my toe nails the other day. As I was letting them dry Avery came over and asked what I was doing. He then asked if I would paint his toes also. He held very still and did not touch them until they were dry.

He has been so proud of his "pretty toes", that he has to show everyone that comes over. It is a good thing that Jeremy is not one of those dads that is girly phobic.

Ride A Pony

Avery loves to ride, so I wanted to see if Azrielle does too. She loves to do anything if it has to do with Avery. Mom and Dad were laughing too.

Date Night

We are starting the year 2012 out right, we have decided to swap with another couple each week a date night. This was the first night. They have two boys, ages are between Avery and Azrielle. She has never left her youngest one before, even with his father. It was a great night to help me to appreciate how easy and laid back our two kids are.
I was so grateful for Azrielle, she sat in her Bumbo the whole time until it was time to put her to bed. The eleven month old started to cry 2 minutes after Mom and Dad left. He fell asleep long enough for me to feed the two toddlers and myself. I got Azrielle ready for bed with him sitting by my leg, then between my legs as I fed her, crying the whole time. She was a champ tonight and went right to sleep, I think, I could not hear her over the noise in the living room if she didn't.

After dinner and playing in the bedroom with toys, I got the two two year old's to help clean up and then put on a short video. Avery just sat like a lump and the other two wanted me to hold them. Jeremy came home during the cleaning of the room, he took the younger one while I cleaned, it made him cry even harder. Neither one of the boys wanted Jeremy to hold them, so I got a work out.
We will see what the next time brings.

Teach Me

This morning Jeremy took Avery with him to recycle some steel. When they got home Jeremy gave Avery $1 to put in his piggy bank. Avery and I went in to his room and he put the money away. He then picks up his piggy bank and says, "I am going to be a missionary!"
I giggle a little and say, "That is a good choice."
Thirty seconds later he says, "Mommy, will you teach me please?"
"What would you like me to teach you, Buddy?" I reply.
"Will you teach me how to be a good missionary, Mommy?"
