Each day after lunch Avery gets a quiet time. He can have a couple of books and his soft "blankie". Most of the time this is what ends up happening. Maybe not with the books on his nose. It give me a few minutes to myself too.
We are all happier if he gets his quiet time.

What?
This morning after separating the laundry, I took the first load into the kitchen to put in the washing machine. When I got back to the back room to get Azrielle, this is what I found. I had left her sitting on the floor with a couple of toys. When did my 11 1/2 lb baby learn how to pull herself up? I bet it was Avery that taught her this trick!

Observations
Each week on Tuesday morning we go to the Library for the Toddler Story time. This is one of the highlights of Avery's week. He has his own library card and gets to pick out books, he even checks them out himself.
Today after checking out our books and putting them in the bag, he hops off the stool and puts his coat on. There are a couple of tables off to the side, which today are occupied. One with two girls eating, and the other an older man, who looked as if he spent much of his time at the library to keep warm. My son, the friendly one, says, "Hi!" to them. They all smile and say hi back to him. He then turns to me and loudly says, "Mommy, that man has NO teeth!". Jeremy and I stifled our laughter as best we could until we got outside.

Laughing
It is not often that we have been able to get Azrielle to actually laugh out loud. I don't know if it is because she is in pain a lot of the time or not. I just happened to put the lion on her head this morning and when it fell off, she cracked up. She kept laughing, so I put her on the couch and got the camera.

Growing up
On February 14th, Azrielle rolled from her back to her front twice, and has been doing to since then. Also that week she decided that she is old to sit up on her own.
McCall winter festival
We decided to go up to the McCall Winter Festival with Shannon and her family the end of January. It was very cold! But we had fun. This is Azrielle when we just arrived, before she got really cold.
This is Avery in Jeremy's Kayak, he has had it on the snow more this year than in the water.
The lake in McCall was frozen, we walked out on the ice for a little bit, Avery found an abandoned snow person, and like a boy had to conquer it.
We were going to go snow shoeing after walking through town and seeing the ice sculptures, but could not find a very good place to go. We ended up pulling over and Patrick and Jeremy took the older kids sledding on a hill. Azrielle and I sat in the Jeep, as she was cold and had some other issues and was not a very happy baby.
Family visit
In January, my sister, Cheryl, came for a visit. She also brought with her my niece, Alana, and her eight month old son, Spencer. It was a fun and fast visit.
It is a nice thing to have a young Mommy around that likes to do fun things and be a jungle gym for my son.
Church on Sunday.
Spencer did not hold quite as still as Azrielle.
I am not sure who has the bigger grin.
